Swindon Town have completed the permanent transfer of Everton defender Sean O'Hanlon.

The 21-year-old has been on loan with the Division Two outfit for the past two months and has now agreed to make the move a permanent one.

An England youth international, O'Hanlon has been a regular in The Toffees' reserve team but has never been able to break into the starting XI at Goodison Park.

Swindon boss Andy King (pictured) has been impressed with the stopper during his time at the County Ground, where he has made ten league appearances, and the two clubs have been in talks over a permanent transfer for some time.

"He's going to be playing regular first-team football and that's extremely important," stated Everton coach Andy Holden to the Premier League side's website.

"It can only improve his career because he hasn't been in David Moyes' first team plans."
