DERBY COUNTY midfielder Craig Burley has returned to the Scotland squad for the first time in 18 months.
Scotland boss Berti Vogts has called on Burley for the international friendly against Austria on April 30.
Burley has had a torrid time at Pride Park over the past year, but has recently returned to action and impressed Vogts enough to get an instant recall.
Another player in is Motherwell youngster James McFadden, who has also been included in the party to face the Austrians.
The 20-year-old striker has been promoted from the Under-21 set-up to earn a place in the senior squad on the back of an impressive cup display against Rangers.
Gers skipper Barry Ferguson is still excused from international duty as his pelvic injury continues to be a cause for concern.
