ROTHERHAM UNITED boss Ronnie Moore is lining-up a triple raid on Birmingham City.

The Millmoor chief has targeted Blues trio Darren Carter, Bryan Hughes and Curtis Woodhouse as potential signings with Birmingham looking to reduce their squad.

Moore is keen to bring in new signings to bolster his squad and is hopeful of getting some of his targets.

"If we can get somebody like Woodhouse in, it will give us some extra steel in midfield," said Moore.

"It's not happening at the moment, but Birmingham are expected to bring in one or two lads - and if they do, there will be a chance."

Meanwhile Ronnie Moore has revealed he has failed in his efforts to bring Everton's Kevin McLeod on loan to the club.

Rotherham's approach for McLeod was turned down by Toffees manager David Moyes.

"I had a go for the boy McLeod, but Everton have got one or two problems at the moment so it doesn't look like it's going to happen," said Moore.

"I've still got one or two irons in the fire but at the end of the day it's going to be tough bringing in anyone that is better than we already have here at this stage in the season."
