Lukas Podolski wants to return to Arsenal - Roberto Mancini

Lukas Podolski wants to return to Arsenal when his loan expires at Inter Milan, according to manager Roberto Mancini.

The Germany international, who joined Inter in January on loan until the end of the season, has endured a difficult time in Serie A.

And Inter boss Mancini says the World Cup winner has already decided he will return to London rather than make his loan at the San Siro permanent.

"In Italy, we have a habit of not being able to wait," Mancini said in response to criticism of both Podolski and his other January recruit, Xherdan Shaqiri.

"Not everything can be done quickly, especially when moving from one country to another, from one club to another.

"The same applies to Podolski who I consider a great player and a great professional.

"That situation is a little different though, because he is on loan and wants to return to Arsenal."

Podolski has made 13 appearances for the Nerazzurri but has failed to find the back of the net during his brief stint at the club.
