French star Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa has told Sky Sports that Montpellier are coming to London looking to upset Arsenal's Champions League hopes.

The Ligue 1 champions know they cannot qualify for the knockout stages, but they can still have a major say in who progresses from Group B as they face Arsenal and Schalke in their last two games.

"Montpellier do not go to London for the tourism," Yanga-Mbiwa told Sky Sports.

"We are the French champions, Arsenal is a big and difficult rival but we want to offer the best image we can in the Champions League.

"We are rookies in this competition and we have paid for that inexperience.

"I think that we have merited more points in the table but that happens in football.

"Arsenal are very strong at the Emirates, but we want to beat Arsenal on Wednesday and if they want the three points they will need to sweat for them."

The outstanding 23-year-old has long been linked with a move to England but, having recently signed a new long-term deal, insists his immediate future remains with Montpellier.

He added: "Is my future in the Premier League? Now my head is exclusively focussed in Montpellier.

"I am happy in this club but I am young and it is never impossible to reject a progression in this sport.

"I do not consider this match at the Emirates as a chance to demonstrate my level."
