Icelandic winger Aron Johannsson has extended his current contract with AGF Aarhus and will remain with the Danish club until June 2015.
The 21-year-old's original contract was slated to run out at the end of the current season, and English giants Arsenal were reportedly monitoring his situation.
Johannsson is overjoyed to have extended his stay at the NRGi Park and is confident that he has made the right decision.
"I never doubted the fact that it is best for me to continue at AGF," he said on AGF's official website.
"This is what I have wanted for a long time, so I am very happy that we have managed to come to an agreement.
"I have developed well during my stay at AGF and I hope to continue my development. The coach and the club have shown a lot of faith in me and I have faith in the coach and the club.
"My focus has always been to stay at AGF and I just hope to be able to continue the good form that the team is in."
