Arsenal star will be sidelined for two months

Arsene Wenger's preparations for the season suffered a blow after Tomas Rosicky's agent confirmed the midfielder will be out for two months. The 31-year-old is set to miss the start of the season after having another operation on his troublesome Achilles. The injury-jinxed Czech playmaker picked up his latest injury playing for his country against Greece in the European Championship in June and missed their quarter-final exit to Portugal days later. "There was some swelling that we needed to get rid of," said his agent Pavel Paska. "Tomas has already started physio." It is not only Arsenal who are left counting the cost of his injury as Rosicky is unlikely to be available for his country too. The Czechs open their 2014 World Cup qualifying campaign against Denmark on 8th September but will most likely be without their talismanic skipper.
