Salomon Rondon has received 'substantial' offers from England and Germany, but Malaga hope he will stay.
Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool have been linked to the Venezuelan forward, who has enjoyed a standout season in Spain.
He only made the step up into the Primera Liga last summer, having honed his skills at Aragua and Las Palmas, and Malaga boss Manuel Luis Pellegrini hopes he will stay.
He told AS: "Rondon has had substantial offers from both Germany and England.
"To stay here, to have time to demonstrate his worth, it has been important to Malaga and hopefully we can have him for longer.
But Pellegrini admitted it was hard to make any player 'untransferable' and said: "It is difficult to know what will happen."
