Czech skipper could be fit to lead his side out to face Portugal

Tomas Rosicky looks to be winning his battle to be fit for the Czech Republic's Euro 2012 quarter-final with Portugal on Thursday. The Arsenal midfielder did not feature in the Czechs' final Group A match against Poland as he returned to Prague for treatment on his troublesome Achilles. But the 31-year-old has returned to the camp where he took part in training and will face a late fitness test before the game in Warsaw. "Rosicky returned to the team after two days of treatment in Prague and underwent light training," said a statement from the Czech FA. "It is still true that we will decide whether he will play or not only before the game."
