Agent says highly-rated forward will return to Udinese this summer

The agent of highly-rated Colombian forward Luis Muriel claims there is no substance to rumours linking his client with a summer move to Arsenal or AC Milan. The 21-year-old, who is contracted to Serie A side Udinese, has impressed this season during a loan spell at Lecce. He took in a similar spell with Granada last season, having been taken to Italy by Udinese in 2010. They have high hopes for him and are delighted with the progress he has made during his loan stints.

Future

There are no plans to sanction a sale and Muriel's representative says speculation suggesting otherwise is nothing more than transfer gossip. "There is no truth in Arsenal's supposed interest in Muriel, these are just rumours," Helmuth Wennin told calciomercatoweb.it. "Big Italian clubs? Luis is focused on Lecce. "His future is with Udinese, the club that owns him. This is no time to think about the transfer market."
