Stevenage have completed the permanent signing of striker Luke Freeman from Arsenal for an undisclosed fee until 2014.
The 19-year-old, who has been on loan with Stevenage since November 2011, has signed a deal at Broadhall Way. Freeman's senior football career began at Gillingham, where he became the youngest player ever to play in the FA Cup at 15 years and 233 days. Arsenal beat off interest from other Premier League clubs to secure his services for a reported fee of £200,000 in 2008, before sending him on loan to Yeovil in 2010. Freeman registered his first goal for Stevenage in the 6-1 victory over Colchester on Boxing Day.
