Barcelona's sporting vice-president Josep Maria Bartomeu believes there is still plenty of time to secure the signing of Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas.
The European champions remained patient during the early part of the summer before clinching the capture of Alexis Sanchez from Udinese on Thursday.
More new faces are expected to follow Sanchez to the Camp Nou, with Fabregas a long-term target after playing for the club during his youth days.
Arsenal have continued to play down the chances of their skipper leaving the Emirates Stadium, with Arsene Wenger claiming on Friday there had been 'no movement'.
But at a press conference held on Monday to formally present Chile international Sanchez, Bartomeu claimed the deal for Fabregas remains in the pipeline.
"They (the talks) are going in the right direction," he said.
"We will try and do what we can with the money we have.
"We have until 30th August to do things and I am sure we will."
