Athletic Bilbao have re-opened talks with goalkeeper Gorka Iraizoz over a new contract.
The 29-year-old has already turned down one offer of a new contract, but Athletic are desperate to tie him down knowing his current deal expires at the end of the season.
Arsenal, Barcelona, Sevilla and Valencia are all believed to be keeping tabs on Iraizoz.
Athletic coach Joaquin Caparros is anxious for the club to tie Iraizoz down to a fresh deal.
"Gorka is a player of maturity and he is very important to us," he told Diario de Navarra.
"He is a player that has grown here and has adapted very well.
"He came already knowing the club, which was a big advantage,"
Iraizoz began his professional career with Bilbao but moved to Espanyol in 2002, where he eventually became first-choice. He re-joined Bilbao in 2007.
