England and Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has received a caution for common assault following a street brawl in August.
The 18-year-old was arrested and bailed after the incident in London on 29th August, when Wilshere had been celebrating the Gunners' victory over Blackburn in the Premier League.
A man received facial injuries and a woman suffered a broken arm during the brawl, with two men charged last month.
Wilshere was cautioned as he answered bail on Friday, ahead of his side's North London derby with rivals Tottenham at the weekend.
The incident broke out after Wilshere had been celebrating with friends but his spokesman insisted that the player's involvement was that of a peacemaker.
"During a night out with friends, Jack intervened as a peacemaker in an incident to protect a friend," said the spokesman.
"The police have accepted that Jack's involvement was such that it could be dealt with by way of a caution.
"No further comment will be made as police investigations and proceedings are ongoing and Jack may well be called as a witness."
Wilshere has made 16 appearances for Arsenal this season and is regarded as one of English football's hottest prospects.
