Barcelona director of football Andoni Zubizarreta insists that he has not held discussions with Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger regarding a guaranteed transfer of Cesc Fabregas.
Arsenal rejected a bid from Pep Guardiola's Spanish giants for captain Fabregas in the summer on the basis that a reported £29million offer did not match their valuation.
Despite a change in Barcelona's hierarchy, speculation has continued to suggest that the Spain midfielder will return to the Camp Nou at the end of the current season.
Some reports have even implied that a deal for Fabregas, who is understood to be keen on a move back to the club where he began his youth career, has already been agreed in exchange for Barcelona ending their pursuit in June.
But Spanish footballing legend Zubizarreta, a July appointment by new Barcelona president Sandro Rosell, is adamant that this is not the case.
Zubizarreta told Com Radio when asked about Fabregas: "I have not spoken to Wenger about a guarantee for the transfer next season.
"Cesc is a very good footballer, but now I do not say if he enters into our plans for the next season."
