Derby have revealed they are keen to get highly-rated Arsenal youngster Mark Randall in on loan.
Rams manager Nigel Clough is determined to bring in a young Premier League player on loan this summer with Aston Villa's Barry Bannan also a possibility.
Bannan made 10 appearances for the Championship club after joining on loan towards the end of last season but Clough could be persuaded to opt for the more experienced Randall.
The 19-year-old has featured 11 times for Arsenal's first team, appearing in the Premier League, UEFA Champions League and Carling Cup and has also spent time on loan in the Championship after a short spell with Burnley in January 2008.
"Mark Randall is a player we are certainly aware of and falls into the bracket of the type we are looking to bring in on a long loan," chairman of football Adam Pearson told the Derby Telegraph.
Meanwhile Derby forward Aleksandar Prijovic has failed to impress Duisburg manager Peter Neururer while on trial with the Bundesliga 2 side.
"He does not seem to be the striker we are looking for," Neururer told Neue Ruhr Zeitung.
"If I am hiring one coming from a club in the United Kingdom, I have the expectation to grab a striker with a powerful heading game at the very least.
"But we are still having some potential new boys I will look at in the near future."
The 19-year-old only joined the Rams last summer from Parma and had spells on loan at Yeovil and Northampton last season.
