Croatia coach Slaven Bilic believes the return of Eduardo could be the spark that ignites his side's World Cup qualification campaign.
The Arsenal striker came off the bench to set-up the winning goal for Portsmouth midfielder Niko Kranjcar in Croatia's friendly with Romania on Wednesday night.
It was his first top-level appearance since he suffered a badly broken leg in February of last year. Bilic was extremely happy to see the 25-year-old's creativity and influence back.
"I am delighted to have Eduardo back and his return is an enormous bonus for us," he said.
"His ball control, the ability to hold it and wait for support has been sorely missed and it makes all the difference."
Croatia will need to make up five points on England if they are to qualify automatically for their fourth consecutive World Cup finals. Their campaign restarts on 1st April when they take on Andorra.
