Theo Walcott and William Gallas are 50-50 to start for Arsenal in their crunch game against Manchester United on Saturday.

Walcott is still suffering with a shoulder injury whilst Gallas looks doubtful with a hamstring problem which is a big blow for the Gunners ahead of a must-win encounter.

A decision on whether or not to play the duo will be made within the next 24-hours, according to boss Arsene Wenger.

"We will not know about Walcott and Gallas before tomorrow afternoon," Wenger told Arsenal TV. "It is 50-50 for both."

Risk

Wenger must also decide whether to risk Mikael Silvestre against his former club after the defender broke his nose in Wednesday's UEFA Champions League draw with Fenerbahce.

"Mikael has a broken nose with an open wound on the side," said Wenger.

"Basically he should be capable of playing. But in the next 48 hours I will have to decide what we do."
