Arsenal goalkeeper Jens Lehmann will make his return to the first team against Steaua Bucharest on Wednesday.

Lehmann last played for the Gunners at Blackburn on 19th August after initially being sidelined through injury but has more recently found himself down the pecking order behind the favoured Manuel Almunia.

"You will see Jens Lehmann in goal on Wednesday," Wenger said in the pre-match press conference.

"This was decided three weeks ago so it is independent of anything else."

Professional

Wenger also went on to add that during his absence, Lehmann's attitude has remained positive.

"This man is super-professional and an example for everybody."

Return

Robin van Persie is also set to be involved in the match after being ruled out of action through a knee problem since 7th October.

"He is okay. He will be in the squad. I have not yet made a decision if he will start but he could play some part," Wenger added.

"The other players who were out before are still out except Abou Diaby, he is in the squad and maybe he will play a part in the game."
