Arsene Wenger has declared himself to be more than satisfied with his Arsenal side after they secured their place in the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League.
A 0-0 draw against Slavia Prague was enough to book their passage into the competition's latter stages, with an inexperienced Gunners side doing the required job in the Czech capital.
Wenger was able to rest a high number of his key men and although Prague had a couple of decent chances, Arsenal looked comfortable for the most part.
The French tactician, who was taking charge of his 100th Champions League game, conceded Prague had worked hard for an impressive point of their own.
"They were solid at the back and they defended well. We had problems to create space and to be dangerous," he told
Sky Sports News.
"We tried until the end to score but did not create enough to feel tonight that we can score goals.
Job done
"To win away from home in the Champions League is always difficult especially when a facing a team like that who felt humiliated - you face a tough game and on that side, you face a tough challenge.
"They did fight very hard and tried to stop us at any cost. Overall though, credit to them.
"I feel some players needed a breather, we come home qualified after four games and without conceding a goal."
Wenger reserved special praise for his goalkeeper Manuel Almunia, who responded to an uncertain display against Chelsea with an excellent stop in the second half.
"He made a key save and he knows how quickly in his position you have to take criticism and respond - with your performance on the pitch."
