Gael Clichy believes Arsenal passed their first major examination of the season by earning a draw at Liverpool.
Cesc Fabregas' 80th minute goal secured the unbeaten Gunners a point at Anfield to maintain their position at the top of the Premier League.
Arsenal can further underline their title credentials by beating champions Manchester United at the Emirates on Saturday.
Clichy told L'Equipe: "Both teams deserved the draw even if it is true we kept the ball most of the time and hit the post twice.
"We could have got three points, notably two or three chances we had at the end of the game but with are happy to get at point at Liverpool as few teams will do that this term."
And defender Clichy believes after their impressive showing on Merseyside Arsene Wenger's side must be labelled serious title contenders.
He added: "It was important to remain undefeated. The team showed good character by equalising. We also proved we can play good football, even against big teams.
"Since the start of the season people have never stopped saying Arsenal are playing well but they have not played any of the big teams yet. Now we have.
"We passed out first test successfully. Next Saturday, we play Manchester United and if we get three points nobody can say Arsenal are not ready to win the title."
