Jose Antonio Reyes' agent has cast doubt over any possible move to Lyon for the Arsenal forward.

The Spaniard is waiting to resolve his future as he looks to secure a move away from The Gunners.

Reyes, who spent the whole of last season on loan at Real Madrid, has been holding out for a move to El Santiago Bernabeu, but the Spanish champions have been struggling to agree a deal with Arsenal.

The French champions have now entered the chase for Reyes and are prepared to offer more than Real for the striker.

Lyon coach Alain Perrin is a big admirer of Reyes and would like to bring him Stade Gerland.

However, Reyes' representative Jesus Rodriguez de Moya has raised doubts about Lyon's chances of landing the player by suggesting he could struggle to adapt to life in France like he did in England.

"You can't refuse Lyon. It is a great European club, but I have questions to ask about the environment," de Moya told L'Equipe.

"Also Jose will have a baby and we have to help him. Neither he nor his fiancee can speak French.

"I am afraid it could be difficult to integrate themselves."

Lyon's communication director Olivier Blanc has revealed the club are keen to meet with Reyes to discuss a possible move.

"We have contact with Arsenal, but no agreement has been settled yet and the Spanish competition is really tough," said Blanc.

"However we will try to have a meeting with the player."

Reports emanating from Spain claim Real have finally agreed a deal with Arsenal for the permanent signing of Reyes.

The Spanish titans have offered Reyes a four-year deal and he is expected to complete the move in the next few days.
