Charlton Athletic have boosted their ranks ahead of an impending relegation scrap by signing Alexandre Song on loan from Arsenal.
The young midfielder joins The Addicks for the remainder of the season after making six appearances in North London - half of which came in the Carling Cup.
Charlton boss Alan Pardew missed out on the signing of Anthony Stokes from Arsenal when the Irish striker chose to join Sunderland earlier in January, but he has now returned to Emirates Stadium for another of Arsene Wenger's youngsters.
The two managers were involved in a controversial touchline incident whilst Pardew was still West Ham boss earlier in the season but the Frenchman has now agreed to send Song on loan to The Valley to further his education.
Sochaux were also believed to be interested in signing the 19-year-old who joined The Gunners in a permanent deal from Bastia in the summer.
Song joins Madjid Bougherra, Ben Thatcher and Zheng Zhi in signing for Charlton during the January transfer window.
