Sunderland chief Roy Keane has confirmed his interest in Arsenal hotshot Anthony Stokes.
Stokes is currently on loan at Falkirk and his displays in The SPL have not gone unnoticed.
The Irish striker has netted 13 times this term and Falkirk are aware some big hitters could come calling in January.
Keane has made no secret of his desire to turn Sunderland into viable promotion contenders and he has trained his sights on Stokes.
"We're interested in any quality player and the lad's done well," Keane is quoted as saying in the Daily Record.
"I've seen him a couple of times myself in the last month against Celtic and against Hearts and I think he's a very good player and he's one we're looking at.
"I might step up my interest. We are looking at players to come in during January."
