Arsenal's Swiss starlet Johan Djourou has revealed that he penned a new six-year deal in the summer to commit his long-term future to the North London club.
The Gunners have seen both Kolo Toure and Cesc Fabregas sign lengthy deals in recent weeks and now athletic defender Djourou has confirmed he too has pledged his future to Arsene Wenger.
The 19-year-old has taken full advantage of Sol Campbell's departure and Philippe Senderos' injury to impress alongside Toure in the heart of the Arsenal defence so far this season.
Djourou's growing potential was also highlighted by his inclusion in Switzerland's squad for the World Cup finals, and the Ivory Coast-born starlet has now revealed that the summer recess also offered him the chance to extend his stay at Emirates Stadium.
"I signed for six years in the summer," Djourou told the club's official website.
"It shows the boss and the club see the future with me, which is a great thing.
"I'm very happy to be part of a club like Arsenal and I'll do all I can for them."
