Gael Clichy insists Arsenal must never give up their footballing principles.
The French full back was part of the Gunners side which failed to find a way through against CSKA Moscow in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday.
Arsenal have taken some major criticism for their failure to find the net with some claiming they attempted to 'over play'.
However, Clichy has backed his manager Arsene Wenger who insists Arsenal have never played better under his tenure.
"Sometimes you can try as hard as you like and the ball will just not go in - that was the match against Moscow," Clichy insists.
"We played well, had a lot of chances - but we just have to look forward to the next game and try to score from the first minute.
"We just have to get the first goal, which will make the game easier.
"We just have to keep playing like we have been and everything will be fine.
"We have a great quality of passing football and everyone has to play the way they want to.
"When we have the likes of Thierry, Robin and Cesc, we can really play in the space on the Emirates pitch and it is hard for the opponents.
"Maybe they have found a way they think they can play against us, but again we had something like 10 chances, and if we had scored the first one, we could have won the game 4-0."
