Julio Baptista is targeting winning the Premiership title in his first season with Arsenal.
The Brazilian striker sealed his switch to The Gunners on Thursday in a loan move that saw Jose Antonio Reyes go in the opposite direction to Real Madrid.
Baptista knows Arsene Wenger's side are one of the best clubs in Europe and is delighted to have the chance to come to England and showcase his skills.
"It is my hope that I can win a title with Arsenal this season," explained Baptista.
"Arsenal are one of the best clubs in Europe.
"I am very happy to be given the opportunity to come here, where I know the manager a little."
Some foreign imports take their time to settle in England, but Baptista is already friends with many of his new colleagues.
"I know nearly all the players here," he added. "In fact, I could probably name all the players.
"I know Gilberto the most from the Brazilian national team and I also know Thierry [Henry] and [Cesc] Fabregas."
