Falkirk are set to snap up Arsenal youngster Anthony Stokes.
The Bairns enjoy a good relationship with Arsenal having already signed three young Gunners in the last year.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is keen to send Stokes out on loan so that he can gain some valuable first team experience.
Stokes was expected to join Sunderland earlier this summer, but The Black Cats decided against signing the 18-year-old as they could not guarantee him first team football.
Falkirk chief John Hughes is keen to bolster his attacking options and is hoping to push through a deal before the close of the transfer window.
Stokes is excited at the chance of moving to Scotland and has targeted making his debut in the game against Rangers next month.
"I'm thrilled I'm finally getting an opportunity to play first-team football at a high level," Stokes told the Daily Record.
"John Hughes has told me he wants to start me in the first team as soon as possible.
"If that plan sees the light of day then that will be away to Rangers a week on Saturday."
