Norwich boss Nigel Worthington has enquired after Arsenal defender Justin Hoyte.

Norwich boss Nigel Worthington has enquired after Arsenal defender Justin Hoyte.

The 21-year-old spent the bulk of last season on loan at Sunderland, and impressed Worthington with his maturity.

The Canaries may be looking to snap up the full back on another loan deal, but Arsenal are not looking to release players until they know the exact structure of their squad.

"He is a player that we know about and that we like," Worthington told the Pink `Un:

"We have talked to Arsenal about the availability of players but they have said they will leave anything until the start of the season before they make a decision."

Norwich defender Adam Drury, meanwhile, will skipper the side for the upcoming season.

Gary Doherty is vice-captain, while veteran Craig Fleming remains club captain during his testimonial campaign.
