Arsenal striker Jeremie Aliadiere is hoping to finally make a first-team breakthrough with The Gunners this coming season.
The French hit-man is gearing up for the new season with the North Londoners, having had three spells on loan at Celtic, West Ham United and Wolves last term.
The 23-year-old, who remains under contract at The Emirates Stadium until the summer of 2009, believes he will get his chance with Arsene Wenger's squad in the coming campaign.
"He told me that he wants to keep me," Aliadiere told Sky Sports News.
"I've just signed a new deal one season ago, so I've three more years contract with Arsenal.
"Then he (Wenger) said he wanted me to go on loan because I had two bad injuries and he wanted me to play the most games as possible (last season).
"With Arsenal, it's hard because you've got big players, so he just wanted me to play and then come back to Arsenal and do my best and break into the first team now.
"I'm really confident. I think I can break into the team.
"All the players that went to the World Cup, they're all going to have short holidays.
"It's going to be a long season as well with the (UEFA) Champions League and I hope I will have my chance.
"If I keep myself fit and I don't pick up injuries, I should be fine."
