Arsenal defender Philippe Senderos has been named Switzerland's Player of the Year.
The 21-year-old was rewarded for his excellent displays last season at the ninth annual Swiss football awards.
He excelled in the heart of The Gunners' defence, impressing many experts with maturity far beyond his tender years.
Senderos also contributed hugely to Arsenal's run to the UEFA Champions League final, as Arsene Wenger's men broke the record for successive clean sheets along the way.
He played the full 90 minutes in Switzerland's 1-1 draw with Ivory Coast at the weekend, and will be an integral part of their World Cup campaign.
