Rennes have warned Arsenal off teenage sensation Yoann Gourcuff.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is believed to be keen to make the 19-year-old forward the latest addition to his talented young squad and, considering his reputation for unearthing good prospects, has been tipped to land his man.

However, Rennes chairman Pierre Dreossi is determined to keep Gourcuff in France, and has flatly ruled out any possible move.

"We don't listen to the rumours and don't listen to the press," Dreossi told Rennes' official website.

"I have not had any contacts with clubs who want to sign Gourcuff or another player.

"The staff are staying focused on our philosophy of keeping our squad together and strengthening ahead of next season.

"We are discussing a contract extension for Yoann Gourcuff.

"I hope we will find an intelligent solution because I think he would be better to stay with Rennes.

"It is totally out of the question that Yoann will leave us."
