Senderos blow confirmed

Philippe Senderos has been ruled out of Arsenal's crucial clash with Villarreal.

Philippe Senderos has been ruled out of Arsenal's crucial UEFA Champions League semi-final second leg in Villarreal on Tuesday.

The Swiss stopper picked up a knee injury in the weekend draw with Tottenham and was forced off late on.

Now Arsenal have confirmed that Senderos has not made the squad which flew out to Spain on Monday.

Sol Campbell will take his place, as he has recovered from the operation on his broken nose and manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed the England star will be returning to his starting line-up.

Another boost for Wenger is the return of French left back Gael Clichy - who could very well be brought straight back into the starting line-up at El Madrigal.

Jose Antonio Reyes is back after a European suspension, but Emmanuel Adebayor is cup-tied.
