Ashley Cole and Gael Clichy have handed Arsenal a double injury boost by playing for the reserves on Wednesday.
The defensive duo both came through the full 90 minutes of the 4-0 win over Coventry unscathed.
Cole has been blighted with injury this season and has only played 60 minutes for the first team since October.
The England international will now be hoping to return to first team action before the end of the season so that he can prove his fitness to Sven Goran Eriksson.
Clichy has been sidelined since last November with a fractured foot, but he is stepping up his bid to regain full fitness.
Both players will be hoping they will be included in the squad for this weekend's big clash with fierce rivals Tottenham.
