Interest in Rennes starlet Yoann Gourcuff is continuing to grow after the 19-year-old put in a tremendous performance in a 4-1 victory over Lyon on Saturday.
The reigning Ligue 1 champions were surprised at Stade Gerland and Gourcuff confirmed his prodigious talent by scoring the second of the four strikes from his side.
Despite his tender age the attacking midfielder has already played 56 games in Le Championnat and has impressed vividly this season.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is believed to have kept tabs on Gourcuff's performances ever since he starred for the French Under-19 side as he continues to scour his homeland for the next big talent.
Monaco are believed to be keen to rival the Premiership giants for Gourcuff's signature in the summer, and Gerard Houllier's Lyon are also tracking his progress.
However, the Rennes star seems to be keen to stay at Stade de la Route-de-Lorient for the foreseeable future whilst he completes his education.
