Reyes urges Henry to stay

Jose Antonio Reyes is urging Thierry Henry to commit his future to Arsenal.

Jose Antonio Reyes is urging Arsenal team-mate Thierry Henry to commit his future to the North London club.

The France international striker's contract expires at the end of next season and The Gunners have been made to wait before opening negotiations regarding an extension.

"It's not just me - the entire team is encouraging him to sign a new deal with the club," Reyes told The Sun.

"We'd like him to stay. He's a massively important player for us. But no one can do anything about it - it's his decision."

Reyes has revealed playing with Henry was a massive factor in him committing to the Highbury outfit.

"I've signed until 2011, six more years," he added. "That's a very, very important commitment for me and for the club.

"Playing alongside a great player was a big factor in my decision to stick with Arsenal."
