Real Madrid will beat Barcelona to Thierry Henry, one of Barca's former top men has revealed.

Sandro Rosell quit his role as vice-president at Camp Nou earlier this month after clashing with supremo Joan Laporta.

Rosell, who is credited with persuading Ronaldinho to snub Manchester United and sign for Barca, insists that Real are the club Henry will join - should he leave Arsenal.

"It is very difficult to remove Henry from the Arsenal, but if he leaves it will only be to play with Real Madrid," Rosell said.

Real are already busy in the transfer market as they look to tie up deals for South American pair Robinho and Pablo Garcia.

Santos striker Robinho has long been linked with a move to El Santiago Bernabeu and he should soon seal his dream move, as should Osasuna star Garcia.

The former Milan man - who has forged a reputation as one of the hard men of La Liga - is being strongly tipped to move to Madrid and will seal a move in the next week or so.

Michael Ballack and Sergio Ramos are also on Real president Florentino Perez's list of targets.

However, Perez wants Henry to become his latest Galactico and join the likes of David Beckham, Zinedine Zidane and Ronaldo.

Sources in Spain have suggested that Real have been quoted a staggering ‚é¼75 million (£50 million) for Henry.

Cristiano Ronaldo is the man wanted by coach Wanderley Luxemburgo and reports continue to link Michael Owen with Manchester United in a potential swap.
