Bordeaux starlet Rio Mavuba has expressed an interest in joining Arsenal.

Mavuba is one of the hottest properties in French football after impressing during last season's Toulon youth tournament.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger and Manchester United boss Alex Ferguson are both believed to be interested in bringing the youngster to The Premiership.

"Juventus are the club of my dreams but I would not mind playing for Arsenal or Real Madrid either," Mavuba told Fifa magazine.

"I want to play abroad but not yet, I have a contract with Bordeaux until 2009, I've got time."

French coach Raymond Domenech recently gave Mavuba his full international debut and he likens the youngster to Jean Tigana.

"He can steal the ball from his rivals, he is very fast and he is moving all the time," observed Domenech.

"He is the player of the future."
