Gilberto is looking to provide Arsenal with a timely boost inside the next month.
The Brazilian midfielder has seen his season wrecked by a back injury, but he is on the road to recovery and slated to return inside the next month.
It had been feared that the Brazilian's career could have been ended by his injury, but he has made good progress and admits he feels 'mentally strong' ahead of his return to action.
"I feel a lot stronger mentally than I did before," he told Sky Sports News. "I believe a lot of good things can happen when I return."
Gilberto has been forced to watch on in frustration as Arsenal have failed to keep pace with Chelsea at the summit of The Premiership.
The Brazilian believes Arsenal have paid a harsh price for picking up injuries and suspensions, but is confident they can finish with a flourish.
"The lessons for us have been hard," he added. "We have paid a big, big price, but we can be stronger after this big storm.
"Since the beginning of the season, players have been injured and suspended and things have not been good for Arsene and the rest of the players but it is not their fault and not the fault of the coach."
