Arsene Wenger has again insisted he is unruffled by Jose Antonio Reyes' admission that he would relish a move to Real Madrid.
Reyes revealed during a hoax phone call on Spanish radio last week that he was open to the possibility of a move back to Spain.
Wenger claimed he was not worried by the Spaniard's disclosure and remains confident the forward is still committed to Arsenal.
Inevitably, the Gunners boss was quizzed on the matter by the Spanish press on Tuesday as he was in Barcelona managing the European XI in a charity game for the Tsunami disaster fund, but brushed off talk of a problem.
"I understand perfectly that Reyes has said that he wants to play for Madrid," Wenger told AS.
"At 20 years of age his life changed radically when he left the tranquillity of Seville for the huge city of London.
"From when he was small, he has always watched Spanish football and Madrid is one of the big clubs and is his reference, that's where his admiration for the white club (Real) comes from.
"I repeat: I understand what he said, I understand his sentiments, but I don't like the manner in which they got the information.
"For me it was very ugly and in bad taste. With things like this, the Spanish press loses credibility.
"Reyes is an Arsenal player, we placed our faith in him when we saw him at Sevilla, and we still count on him.
"It's another thing if the player is considering the possibility of returning to Spain to play for Madrid, and of course he said he would be delighted.
"But he has all the time in the world ahead of him!
"I insist that he is an Arsenal player and Arsenal are delighted with him."
