Arsenal keeper Manuel Almunia is seeking showdown talks with Jens Lehmann over remarks he calls 'unprofessional'.
Almunia is currently number one at Highbury, although Lehmann insists he is the better keeper and deserves to play.
The Spaniard has stated he would never say such comments about a team-mate and is keen to hear Lehmann's side of the story.
Lehmann, who failed to lose a single league game in his debut season, was axed earlier this term following a string of blunders.
"I'm going to ask him for an explanation," said Almunia. "We're all adults here and know what we are saying.
"I would never say I am better than Lehmann and must play.
"I have never done it in my life and I believe that is not a professional position on the part of a team-mate."
