Gunners duo get Brazil call

Arsenal duo Edu and Gilberto Silva have been named in the Brazil squad.

Arsenal duo Edu and Gilberto Silva have been named in the Brazil squad for the World Cup qualifier with Bolivia next month.

The pair have been included in Carlos Alberto Parreira's 23-man squad for the qualifier as well as the friendly with Germany in Berlin on September 9.

Parreira has omitted Milan trio Cafu, Kaka and Dida for the two games after the troika were not released for this week's friendly with Haiti.

Brazil take on Haiti on Wednesday in a specially arranged game to promote peace and the world champions will field most of their top players, including Ronaldo and Ronaldinho.

The Milan trio failed to win release from their club for the game in Haiti and along with Bayern Munich duo Ze Roberto and Lucio have been left out of Parreira's plans.
