PFA FANS' PLAYER OF THE YEAR

Thierry Henry has followed up his PFA Players' Player of the Year by also collecting the PFA Fans' award for 2004.

The awesome Arsenal attacker is givemefootball's Fans' Player of the Year after outscoring all of his rivals for the second season running when it comes to supporters' votes for the accolade.

With the Football Writers' award also looking a formality, the French forward can be well pleased with his efforts this season.

A Premiership title winners' medal is already secured and Henry seems assured of also winning the Golden Boot prize for the top scorer in the division.

Colombian Juan Pablo Angel has been one of the most improved performers this term and his renaissance under David O'Leary has helped fire Aston Villa up the table.

The South American has now fully settled in the Midlands and is clearly highly regarded up and down the country.

Alan Smith finished in third place, despite Leeds United's desperate battle to fend off relegation.

If Leeds do crash out of the top flight, Smith is reluctantly looking at leaving Elland Road and there will be no shortage of admirers in the spiky striker's abrasive qualities.

Darren Huckerby has been rewarded for his drive and class with the Division One fans' award.

Norwich City pushed the boat out to land the Manchester City forward and he has repaid the East Anglians' faith by shooting The Canaries into The Premiership.

Richard Chaplow came second, impressing sufficiently in a Burnley side that has toiled this term, to earn England Under-21 recognition and the midfielder is clearly one for the future.

Nottingham Forest winger Andy Reid, rated in the £10 million class by manager Joe Kinnear, was third after doing enough to attract a bid from Tottenham.

In Division Two, goalkeeper Neil Moss was top dog after a consistent season on the South Coast.

The former Southampton shot-stopper has looked the part with Bournemouth and is one Cherry that has finished on the top.

Free-scoring Tommy Mooney earned second spot after forging a productive partnership with Sam Parkin, while Sheffield Wednesday's former Manchester United winger Terry Cooke finished third.

The Division Three accolade went to Northampton Town keeper Lee Harper, who had a day to remember when saving a penalty against Manchester United in the FA Cup and has helped maintain the club's hopes of promotion.

Lee Trundle, another player with wonderful memories of the FA Cup, followed up a place in the PFA Players' team of the season with the runners-up slot and Doncaster Rovers' signing from Yeovil Town, Michael McIndoe, also gets a place on the podium as he played a key role in the South Yorkshire side's marvellous campaign as they took to League football like a duck to water.
