The former Sweden international has been linked with Newcastle, Arsenal and Barcelona in the past, while also signalling that he may even be prepared to hang up his boots when his Bhoys deal ends this summer.
However, the ex-Feyenoord marksman's agent Rob Jansen has now confirmed that the player will continue his extraordinary goalscoring feats in southern Europe next season, prompting rumours a switch to Camp Nou is a real possibility.
Jansen did however reiterate that he has not spoken to any clubs about a move for his client: "I met with Henrik at the weekend and he is now clearer in his plans.
"The only thing I can say right now is that it is 100 percent certain that Henrik will continue his career in football and he will be leaving Celtic in the summer.
"He will probably move to a club in southern Europe although I have to stress that I have not yet spoken to anyone about a deal."
The player is still remaining tight-lipped over his destination in the summer and is concentrating on the rest of the season at Parkhead.
"I am not hunting for a club, we will have to see what will happen," explained Larsson. "There are still four or five months left before a move will be considered.
"We will see if anyone wants me or something interesting comes up."
Meanwhile, Celtic forward Shaun Maloney is set to agree a new contract with the SPL leaders after "constructive" talks between the club and player's representative, Mel Stein.
The Scotland Under-21 international has 18 months left on his current deal but manager Martin O'Neill is determined to sort out the player's future swiftly.
Stein told the Scottish Daily Express: "We had a very constructive meeting and I think we have made a lot of progress.
"I am confident that everything will be sorted out and Shaun's new contract will be agreed and signed within the next couple of weeks."
