Manchester City are reported to have joined the chase for Parma goalkeeper Sebastien Frey as they look to solve their goalkeeping problems.

City are on the lookout for a new keeper with David Seaman's career coming to an end and Nicky Weaver facing another lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Citizens boss Kevin Keegan had been linked with a move for Liverpool's Jerzy Dudek, but after Chris Kirkland's injury he has been forced to switch his attentions elsewhere

Frey is now believed to be among Keegan's list of targets because of Parma's financial problems.

The Gialloblu are resigned to losing their top stars because the club's owners Parmalat are experiencing financial difficulties and Frey could be on of the first players out the exit doors at the Ennio Tardini.

Should Parma decide to cash-in on Frey there is sure to be an almighty scramble for his signature with the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United and Bayern Munich all holding a long-term interest in the Frenchman.
