Lyon midfielder Juninho Pernambucano has been handed a surprise recall to the Brazil squad for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Colombia and Ecuador next month.

The midfielder has performed well both domestically and in Europe for the French champions, and his efforts have clearly caught the eye of coach Carlos Alberto Parreira.

Big names Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Ronaldinho, Kaka, Cafu and Roberto Carlos have all been included, as have Arsenal's Gilberto Silva and Roque Junior of Leeds United.
