Warmuz keen on English stay

ARSENAL goalkeeper Guillaume Warmuz has revealed he hopes to earn a new deal at Highbury, but that if he does not he would like to find himself another English club.

The 32-year-old joined The Gunners during the January transfer window from Lens on a short-term deal until the end of the season.

Warmuz has still to make a first team appearance for Arsenal, but he is hopeful of extending his stay in North London.

The Frenchman is determined to stay in England whatever happens and revealed he has been approached by other clubs.

"Arsenal allowed me to find again my feelings," said Warmuz.

"I played about 15 games with the reserve team and I am very happy with my experience. I was admirably welcome.

"I have some contact in England, I would like to stay in London."
