The 20-year-old had impressed Dons manager Stuart Murdoch during a trial stint with the First Division outfit.
Chorley had been informed by Gunners manager Arsene Wenger he had no future at Highbury after failing to make a first-team appearance.
The talented stopper was the captain of Arsenal's FA Youth Cup winning team two years ago but failed to make the transition to the senior side.
During his trial spell at Selhurst Park, Chorley figured in two reserve team matches and clearly demonstrated he was worthy of a contract, putting pen-to-paper on a two-and-a-half year deal with The Dons.
Chorley had a loan period at Second Division Brentford earlier in the campaign and will be champing at the bit to have another stab at first-team football.
