Aliadiere set for first team role

ARSENAL manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that French starlet Jeremie Aliadiere could just be weeks away from making his Premiership debut.

The 18-year-old is a graduate of the famed French academy at Clairefontaine and his progress since moving to Highbury in 1999 has impressed everyone at the North London club.

Wenger, who handed Aliadiere his first team debut in November when he starred as a substitute in the Worthington Cup game against Grimsby, has now stated that the youngster could soon have role to play.

"I'm tempted to push Aliadiere up because he is now getting closer and closer," Wenger told Arsenal's official website.

"He is integrating with the first team squad now and training with them and he is doing quite well. So, if needed, he will get a chance in the next few weeks."
