Reds boss not expecting any new offers from City
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has revealed he does not expect any further developments in Manchester City's pursuit of Daniel Agger.
City have been chasing the Reds centre-back all summer and have seen two bids rejected for the Denmark international.
It has been suggested the Premier League champions could come back with a new offer before the transfer window closes as Roberto Mancini looks to bolster his defensive options.
However, Rodgers expects to keep Agger as he wants the centre-back to stay and the player is happy to remain at Anfield.
Staying
"I can't see anything at this stage to be honest," Rodgers said. "He is not a player that I want to lose.
"Like every player in the group, if someone comes in with a big, big offer then that might be out of my hands in relation to the club and where it is at with finances.
"I have never thought that I was going to lose Daniel. Secondly, he doesn't want to go."
